1. Introduction
These Website Terms of Use apply to lakeshoresmarthome.ca, operated under the registered business name Lakeshore Smart Home.
By using this website, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms govern website use only. Paid services are subject to a separate written quote, proposal, or service agreement.
2. Informational Purpose
The website provides general information about smart-home and home-network consulting services.
Submitting a contact form, requesting a consultation, or contacting Lakeshore Smart Home does not create a customer relationship, guarantee an appointment, or form a binding service agreement.
3. Pricing
Prices displayed on the website are starting prices unless clearly stated otherwise.
Final pricing depends on the agreed scope, equipment, site conditions, third-party contractor requirements, and other project details.
Hardware, taxes, subscriptions, electrical work, new cabling, contractor fees, and other third-party costs are not included unless expressly stated in a written quote.
4. Scope of Services
Lakeshore Smart Home provides smart-home and home-network consulting, configuration, integration, troubleshooting, planning, and support services.
We do not perform electrical work.
Electrical work must be completed by an ECRA/ESA-Licensed Electrical Contractor hired directly by the homeowner.
We do not run new cables inside walls, fish cables through finished spaces, perform exterior penetrations, or mount exterior cameras.
New Ethernet runs, PoE-camera cabling, exterior mounting, and similar low-voltage work must be completed by a qualified installer hired directly by the homeowner.
We may help define the technical requirements and coordinate the handoff.
5. Third-Party Products and Services
The website may refer to third-party products, platforms, manufacturers, contractors, or services.
Lakeshore Smart Home does not control third-party products or services and does not guarantee their availability, compatibility, pricing, security, performance, or continued operation.
Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
6. Smart-Home and Camera-System Limitations
Smart-home systems, networks, cameras, sensors, notifications, local storage, cloud services, and integrations can fail or behave unexpectedly.
You should not rely on a smart-home or camera system as your only safety, security, or emergency-response measure.
Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, Lakeshore Smart Home does not provide alarm monitoring, emergency dispatch, guaranteed detection, guaranteed recording, guaranteed uptime, legal advice about surveillance, or insurance advice.
